Finding Granola Transcripts
How to locate and export transcripts from the Granola app
Finding Your Granola Transcripts
Granola doesn't have a public API, so transcripts must be exported manually.
Copy a Transcript (Easiest)
- Open the Granola app on your Mac
- Click on the meeting you want
- Look for the transcription button at the bottom (three vertical bars icon)
- Click the copy button in the top right corner
- Come back here and paste it
That's it—paste the transcript and I'll save it for you.
If You Have Many Meetings
For bulk export, there's a developer tool called Granola MCP Server. This requires using Terminal (the command-line app on your Mac). If you're comfortable with that:
- Open Terminal (search for "Terminal" in Spotlight)
- Install the tool:
pip install granola-mcp - Export meetings:
uv run granola export --output-dir ./meetings/
This creates markdown files you can then upload here. If you're not familiar with Terminal, the copy/paste method above works great—just do one meeting at a time.
What Format to Expect
Transcripts from Granola look like markdown with timestamps:
# Meeting Title
**[00:00:15]** Alice: Welcome everyone...
**[00:00:32]** Bob: Thanks for having me...
If your transcript looks different, that's fine—upload it and I'll organize it.
