Design Employee Survey

Requirements
Survey focus area (e.g., belonging, manager trust, workload, engagement) and optional context about recent events or concerns
1

Ask the user what they want to measure with this survey:

  • What's the primary focus? (e.g., belonging, manager trust, workload balance, engagement, DEI, remote work)
  • Is this a pulse check (short, 5-8 questions) or comprehensive survey (15-20 questions)?
  • Any recent events or initiatives to reference? (e.g., return-to-office, reorg, new benefits)
  • What rating scale preference? (1-5, 1-7, agree/disagree)

If user just says "employee survey" without details, default to a general engagement pulse with 6-8 questions.

4

Generate survey questions using neutral language, one concept per question.
Include mix of rating scales (1-5) and open-ended questions.
Group by category, include respondent instructions, and suggest analysis approach.

5

After presenting the questions, offer:

  • "Want me to add or modify any questions?"
  • "Should I create a follow-up survey for specific themes?"
  • "Need guidance on how to analyze the results once collected?"
To run this task you must have the following required information:

> Survey focus area (e.g., belonging, manager trust, workload, engagement) and optional context about recent events or concerns

If you don't have all of this information, exit here and respond asking for any extra information you require, and instructions to run this task again with ALL required information.

---

You MUST use a todo list to complete these steps in order. Never move on to one step if you haven't completed the previous step. If you have multiple read steps in a row, read them all at once (in parallel).

Add all steps to your todo list now and begin executing.
