Compare Competitors
Requirements
List of competitors to compare, comparison type (features, positioning, pricing), and your product context
2
Check for existing competitor data:
- Look for cached profiles at
Competitor Profiles Cache
- Look for cached pricing at
Competitor Pricing Cache
- List what data already exists vs. needs research
Gather comparison requirements:
COMPETITORS
- Which companies to include
- Include your own product in the comparison?
COMPARISON TYPE
- Feature comparison (capabilities side-by-side)
- Positioning comparison (messaging, target market, differentiation)
- Pricing comparison (models, tiers, TCO)
- Full landscape analysis (all of the above)
FOCUS AREAS

- What decision is this comparison supporting?
3
Research each competitor. For any without cached data, use web search for:
- Product pages and documentation
- Pricing pages
- G2/Capterra for feature ratings
- Marketing materials for positioning
Save individual research to Competitor Profiles Cache and
Competitor Pricing Cache.
4
Create the comparison based on type requested:
For FEATURE COMPARISON:
- Organize by feature category (Core, AI, Integrations, Security, etc.)
- Use consistent ratings: Strong / Adequate / Weak / None (or ✓/✗ for binary)
- Add "Context" section after each table explaining implementation differences
- Be honest—don't mark yourself Strong everywhere
For POSITIONING COMPARISON:
- Target customer / ICP for each
- Key messaging themes and taglines
- Value proposition (1 sentence each)
- Market position (leader, challenger, niche, emerging)
For PRICING COMPARISON:
- Pricing model (per seat, usage-based, flat rate)
- Tier breakdown with key features at each level
- Entry price point
- Enterprise pricing (if known, or "Custom")
- Hidden costs (implementation, training, add-ons)
- TCO example for a realistic team size
Present as clear tables or matrices.
5
Add strategic analysis:
Key Takeaways
- [3-5 bullet summary]
Where You're Strongest
- [Specific advantages with context]
Where You Have Gaps
- [Be honest about weaknesses]
Strategic Implications
- [Actionable recommendations]
Attack Strategies
