Your brain is working against you. Cognitive biases are mental shortcuts that
served our ancestors but can sabotage modern decisions. This skill helps you
see the patterns you can't see yourself.
Quick scans catch obvious biases—confirmation bias, sunk cost thinking, anchoring
on first impressions. Deep analysis surfaces hidden assumptions and missing
perspectives. Decision reviews give you a pre-mortem on pending choices: what
biases might be steering you wrong, and what questions should you ask before
committing?
Everyone has blind spots. The difference is whether you look for them.
