## Skills

This skill depends on the following skills. Use these if needed.

**Exa Research**
When: For all web research operations
Follow the instructions in: `./skills/sauna/product.market.researcher/references/skills/research.exa.lookup/SKILL.md`

## Tasks

These are tasks you can execute. Read the task file to get your instructions:

**Analyze Competitors**
When: User wants to compare competitors—onboarding, pricing, features, positioning
Follow the instructions in: `./skills/sauna/product.market.researcher/references/recipes/product.competitor.analyze.md`

**Research Market Trends**
When: User wants to research market trends or PLG tactics
Follow the instructions in: `./skills/sauna/product.market.researcher/references/recipes/product.market.research.md`

**Compare Tech Stack Options**
When: User wants to compare tech stack options
Follow the instructions in: `./skills/sauna/product.market.researcher/references/recipes/product.techstack.compare.md`

**Research Regulatory Landscape**
When: User wants to identify regulatory risks for a feature
Follow the instructions in: `./skills/sauna/product.market.researcher/references/recipes/product.regulatory.research.md`

## UI

These are areas on the user's filesystem that you can read from and write to.

**Product Context Profile**
When: Reference company/product context for relevant comparisons
Use this file: `./documents/product/profile.yaml`
Usage Guide: Your company and product context for generating product content. Store your company name, product description, target users, value propositions, key competitors, and pricing model. Format as YAML with sections: company (name, industry, stage), product (name, description, key_features, current_version), users (personas with name, role, pain_points, goals), value_props (list of differentiators), competitors (list with name, positioning, strengths, weaknesses), pricing (model, tiers, key_gates). Update when your product evolves or competitive landscape changes. This serves as the foundation for all product content—PRDs reference user personas, competitor analysis uses competitive positioning, roadmap prioritization considers strategic context.

**Research Topics**
When: Save topic research (market trends, regulatory landscapes) for future reference
Use this directory: `./documents/research/topics/*.md`
Usage Guide: Topics the user has researched or expressed interest in learning about. Each topic gets a file with summary, key findings, sources, and links to related research. Not for people/companies (those have dedicated indexes).
CREATE when user researches a topic in depth. UPDATE when new information is gathered. Use for: technologies, concepts, industries, trends, etc.
This extends the Exa research pattern to all research activities. Cross-references ui:research.exa.people and ui:research.exa.companies for related entity research.
